Environmental Management Statement

At Integrity at Work, we recognise the importance of protecting the environment and preserving
natural resources. We are committed to following best practice environmental management. This
Statement outlines how we implement this commitment in our work.

Sustainable business practices

As an agile, small business, we are able to ensure that our environmental footprint is minimal. We use the following sustainable business practices to minimise our impact on the environment:

Limit travel-based emissions.

We seek to reduce and limit travel-based emissions, including by:

  •  Conducting our work primarily from home.
  • Where possible, conducting our business online (subject to best practice when conducting interviews, which may require in-person meetings).
  • Limiting our days working in our city-based office to one day per week on average.

Minimise waste

We are a paperless business wherever we can be, using digitised documents and online systems to perform our work. When we can’t avoid using paper, we encourage our staff to use recycled paper and environmentally friendly office supplies. Our city-based office space has recycling facilities. We recycle paper, plastics and electronic waste.

Sustainable procurement

We support our staff to make sustainable purchasing decisions, choosing products and services that have minimal environmental impact. We encourage the use of local suppliers to reduce transportation emissions.

Promote sustainable transportation

We encourage our staff to use public transport on days that they are working from our city-based office, which is conveniently located close to tram and bus routes and a train station.

Reduce energy consumption

Our city-based office uses energy efficient lighting across all spaces. Lighting in all areas except walkways (for safety reasons) uses motion sensors and timers to ensure that lights are of outside of normal business hours or when a space is not in use.

We encourage staff to implement energy efficient practices and technologies when working from home.

Commitment to ongoing improvement

We regularly review and update our policies to reflect best practice and new sustainability opportunities. We encourage feedback from staff in this area. We are committed to fostering a culture of sustainability and making a positive environmental impact. We believe that by integrating sustainable practices into our daily operations, we can contribute to a healthier environment and inspire others in our community to do the same.
